Prepare the fruit: Wash and chop the fruit into small pieces if necessary. If you're using frozen fruit, allow it to thaw slightly.
Blend the fruit: In a blender or food processor, puree the fruit until smooth. You can leave it slightly chunky if you prefer texture in your ice cream.
Whip the cream: In a separate bowl, whip the heavy cream until it forms stiff peaks. If you're using coconut cream, ensure it's well chilled and whip it similarly until it thickens.
Combine ingredients: Gently fold the sweetened condensed milk into the whipped cream. Add the fruit puree and vanilla extract (if using) into the cream mixture. Mix everything together until well combined.
Freeze: Pour the mixture into a freezer-safe container. Cover it with a lid or plastic wrap directly touching the surface to prevent ice crystals from forming. Place it in the freezer for at least 6 hours or until firm.
Serve: Once the ice cream is frozen, scoop it into bowls or cones and enjoy your homemade fruit ice cream!
